Jennifer Andrews is a Brisbane based artist . She has exhibited in numerous exhibitions and has completed design commissions for public art works, textile works, illustration and works for print and web.  Refer to the Galleries pages for some examples. She also have extensive experience as an art educator. After teaching high school art for many years Jennifer founded  Brizart in 1999.

 

In 2011 Jennifer completed the Master of Visual Art at QCA, Griffith University with an exhibition, "Uncharted Terrains" comprising large innovative drawings and digital images based on rainforests. These works challenged concepts of mimesis while exploring notions of perception. In 2014 she had a solo exhibition " Where the Rocks Still Weep" at the Old Friary in Kenmore Hills and in 2016 is about to open her Solo exhibition "The Littoral" at the POP Gallery, Woolongabba.

 

 

Jennifer's current art practice explores conventional understanding of representation and ways of integrating traditional and digital image making. Graphic mark-making processes of drawing and printmaking are her main focus.
